The Meerkat Manifesto •

We want to practise what we preach. We tell our clients they need to put their people first to build a healthy work environment, and we try to do the same. We want to create a culture of open communication, healthy discussion and work-life blend. We believe that employers need to find ways to connect with their teams, and we think that setting out what a business believes in, with the help of the people that make it what it is, is a good place to start.

These are words, phrases, feelings that we consider to be important in both life and work. We use them to guide our decisions, set priorities and plan for the future. We’ve worked hard to find a set of standards that resonate with our team, ones that aren’t just one size fits all. And so you should feel these as you work with us, for us. And you should let us know if you don’t!

How we feel about the way we work 

We always try to make everyone feel welcome. We’re down to earth and friendly. We talk to people as people, no matter where they sit in a business. And we think the most brilliant communicators  feel the most approachable.

We love an adventure. We’re explorers in every which way, inside and outside of work. And we’re adventurous in our approach to work, always up for a challenge, for doing things differently. We make our work fun, for our team and for our clients. 

We ask questions, and we listen carefully to the answers. We ask them especially - but not just because - it helps us do our job better. We do this to challenge, to gain fresh perspective or to see things from other angles. We’re open-minded. We’re curious. And because of that, we’re always learning.

This one’s incredibly important to us. Above all we’re thoughtful. We try to show consideration for the needs of each other and the people we work with. We’re compassionate, and kind. It really is the foundation of our business.

We work hard to be a team that people can depend on, one that feels cosy, and secure. Being reliable is a big part of building trust, and strong relationships - with clients and with colleagues - and we try our best not to let anyone down, ever.
